Concordia Hits the Right Notes

Concordia Choir hits the right notes and raises £400 for Hospice Hope

Hospice Hope Chair, Stewart Shepherd, was delighted to receive a cheque for £400 from members of Concordia on 5th March 2016. The Ashby-based community choir raised the funds at its popular Christmas concert last December.

Concordia Choir Chairman, Kevin Cunningham, said: “Our Christmas concert was a sell-out this year and we were really pleased to be able to fundraise for such a fantastic local charity. It means a great deal to our members to put something back into the community. We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who came along in December and helped raise such a great amount.”

Stewart Shepherd from Hospice Hope commented: “Concordia has been so supportive over many years, and at so many events. The Christmas concert was quite magnificent and we’re very grateful to receive such a large amount of money, raised from a wonderful evening of song.”
