Christmas Celebrations

In the run up to Christmas, our Support Café Leaders and Hope House Manager, Carol, have been very busy organising some wonderful festive celebrations for our many guests.  The Christmas meals are a wonderful way to bond friendships and relationships between guests and also volunteers – an important part of the Hospice Hope ethos.

Our Coalville and Whitwick Support Café were the first to hold their Christmas Meal at Sunnyside on 5th December, with over 30 people attending.  Two days later, our Ashby Support Café enjoyed their Christmas lunch at Lakeside, near Moira.

Next it was the turn of Hope House guests and volunteers – joined by some staff and Trustees, they all enjoyed a fabulous lunch at The Greyhound Inn at Woodville on Monday 17th December. Following the meal a raffle was held, which raised a fantastic £180 for Hospice Hope!

Finally, last but not least our Ibstock Support Café guests and volunteers enjoyed their Christmas meal at the Old Thatch, Stanton under Bardon on Tuesday 18th December.

All our services will be closed over the Christmas period and will re-open on the following days in 2019:

Ashby Support Café – Friday 4th January

Hope House, Griffydam – Monday 7th January

Ibstock Support Café – Tuesday 8th January

Coalville / Whitwick Support Café – Wednesday 9th January
