Lights of Love 2019

Lights of Love 2019 - Sunday 1st December

For an outdoor event, the weather plays such an important part….especially at 4pm on the first Sunday in December! For Lights of Love 2019, the weather was perfect; dry, calm and cold with a clear sky and the moon rising.

Well over 200 people attended and were able to dedicate a tag to a loved one, placed on a beautiful Christmas tree in the centre of the Ferrers courtyard.  Oddfellows band led the carol singing and Concordia sang to beautiful pieces - Away in a Manger and the Coventry Carol.

The service was jointly led by Reverend Tim Philips of Holy Trinity, Ashby and Reverend Andrew Race of St Edwards, Castle Donington.

Very relevant and supportive words were spoken by Andrew Bridgen and Bev Smith, Chief Executive of North West Leicestershire District Council.

Hospice Hope is so grateful to everyone who made this year’s Lights of Love so special.  We receive amazing support from the Ferrers team and Mr and Mrs Blunt, who enable this event to happen – thank you.
