Jim's Tractor Run 2021

Sunday 25th July 2021 and Jim's Tractor Run and Fun Day finally took centre stage in Ashby after being at the mercy of Covid-19 and the weather over the last couple of years.

And what a fantastic day it was!  Jim and his tractor friends provided a wonderful entourage of classic tractors, which wound their way through the streets of Ashby and then the Bath Grounds were alive with people, stalls, fun fair - everyone revelling in the chance to enjoy this wonderful event.

Hospice Hope was delighted to have been chosen to benefit from this event and we had a great team of bucket collectors at the entrance and exit points.  Our thanks go to our team made up of trustees, staff, volunteers and members of Ashby Castle and Ashby Rotary clubs.  Through the generosity of the public, we raised over £2,000 on the day (who said that cash was dead!), which will help us to provide our support services to people who need it most in North West Leicestershire.

At the bright yellow Hospice Hope tent, we also had on display details of Bright Hope House in Swannington, plans for which have recently  been submitted to North West Leicestershire's Planning Department - you can read more about that here: Planning permission submitted for Bright Hope House

Ashby Times carried a great write up about the day, which you can read below:
