Hope House, Griffydam
Hope House, Griffydam Important re Covid-19: Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, Hope House is closed for the foreseeable future in line with Government instructions. We will re-open as soon as it is safe for our guests, staff and volunteers. Hope House, Griffydam is run by Hospice Hope and is a place specifically for people with life limiting conditions and their carers. It differs from our four Support Cafés in that attendance is by referral rather than on a drop-in basis and people stay for longer. People can refer themselves to us (self-referral) or referrals can be made by health and social care professionals, a carer or family member. We offer the following support at Hope House: Mondays and Thursdays are for the person with the life limiting condition. This allows the carer to take a much deserved break from their caring duties, safe in the knowledge that their loved one is being well looked after.
On Tuesdays we run our 'Carers Plus' day - which is for the person with the life limiting condition and their carer. Previously guests requiring assistance with medication, personal care or feeding have been unable to access our services at Hope House, but our Carers Plus service is designed with both of you in mind. There is no charge for being at Hope House; the transport, services (including complementary therapies) and delicious hot two course lunch are completely free.
